Mr. Bachand left a large firm at the end of 2013, where he had practiced as an IP partner for 11 years, to start his own firm. He has over 23 years of experience representing emerging and large companies in intellectual property matters, particularly in the area of medical devices. His practice is directed toward counseling clients in all areas of patent, trademark and copyright law. His legal expertise and business acumen have assisted many clients in achieving favorable results.
Mr. Bachand regularly partners with a wide variety of clients to strategically manage intellectual property portfolios, prosecute patent and trademark applications, provide opinions directed toward patent infringement and validity, conduct due diligence on IP portfolios, and negotiate and prepare license and other intellectual property agreements. He also assists clients in reexamination, reissue, interference and opposition proceedings.
