Particularly in divorce cases, emotions run high. Dealing with the emotions is important, but it’s every bit as important to remember the goal: getting through the divorce process with your dignity and your finances as intact as possible. If there are children involved, one has to be even more sensitive to the problems, and I work towards the kind of creative solutions that can be critical to helping you through this very difficult time in your life.
I understand LGBT issues well, having obtained the first same-sex divorce in the New York court system years before same sex marriage became the law of the state and then the land, and almost a decade before my transition.
I'm a graduate of Fordham University Law School, where I served as Writing and Research editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. My undergraduate degree is from Cornell University (B.A., Government & Philosophy – 1972).
